About this opportunity

As a Product Owner you’ll play a valuable role in in the strategic work, plan and drive the roadmap and vision in order to enable the team!

 

You will be a part of an agile team and together we will make sure the team delivers customer value to achieve objectives. The work is done in close collaboration with Product Management community.

 

In this role, you will be the person driving improvements across the board and maximise value by owning and deciding upon priorities in the IT Release and Change Management team’s backlog from a business perspective to streamline the execution, while maintaining technical integrity of the features and components. You are the voice of the user; you have a business perspective and technical knowhow.

 

The job offers an exciting mix of challenges, where different areas of knowledge and skills are needed: data and analytical skills, ability to digest and understand IT processes, a good sense of governance and excellent communication skills. What you’ll be doing:

  • Be responsible to plan and drive the roadmap, vision and purpose
  • Proof of Concepts
  • constantly evaluate the business case of development items in the team’s backlog taking into account the capacity of the development team
  • continuously groom and refine the backlog
  • Ensure that the vision and purpose are known and understood by all members of the team and its stakeholders
  • Ensure that product development is in line with overall goals and the needs of end users
  • Have an ongoing dialogue with your team and stakeholders 
  • Listen the customer and be the voice of the customer
  • you understand the customer group needs better than individual customers i.e. see the bigger picture
  • writing and refining features and user stories based on your competence of economics/business, making sure the requirements are understood in the team
  • contribute to product vision
  • build team backlog in terms of user stories, prioritize its items to achieve definition of done and business goals and continuously keep backlog up-to-date

Your experience and background: 

  • Previous involvement in IT Change or Release Management activities
  • 2 years’ experience working in large enterprise companies
  • Experience in Product owner or stakeholder management role
  • Experience of data monitoring & reporting is a plus
  • Good understanding of ITIL and SAFe methodologies
  • Experience working with ITSM tools in practice (in particular BMC Remedy/HELIX)
  • Very strong people and stakeholder management skills
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
