Purpose of the function

• Carrying out tariff analyses and describing the current implementation of procedures and processes relevant to costing in the source system 
• Creation of technical concepts that describe existing calculation methods and compare them with those of the target platform, actuarial evaluation of the usability of the procedures of the target platform LF and creation of specifications for reference mathematics. 
• This includes in particular procedures for subsequent reserving (interest and biometric subsequent reserving, calculation of security requirements, procedure for determining security requirements, determination of valuation reserves) 
• Calculation and evaluation of the technical values of the management and quotation system provided by the calculation engine 
• Deviation analysis in both the source and target system, in particular the evaluation of the criticality and relevance of deviations that occur  
• Providing special calculations for the management and communication of the same 
• Determination of tax relevant values

• Excellent and verifiable knowledge in the area of life insurance calculation according to the calculation principles customary in Germany, in particular knowledge of the calculation of niche products, the accounting of German life insurance policies, German tax law and actuarial individual contract calculations (in particular with tax implications) 
• A completed training as an actuary DAV or a comparable training as well as professional experience of at least 5 years is desirable 
• Good communication skills and a fluent command of the German language, in particular of actuarial vocabulary, are required 
• Very good knowledge of Excel-VBA and Access as well as the programming language C/C++ and C# is required
• Experience in the implementation of projects with a mathematical focus

Period of deployment 

• Beginning in Q3 2021 for the next 2 years 
• The regular stay on site in Cologne is particularly necessary during the onboarding phase; in the medium term, the frequency for personal attendance can be reduced
